Knit In Public Day
Sorry, no project updates tonight. I am too lazy to get out the camera and take a picture. I can give a verbal update though! I am so very very close to finishing the back I can taste it! I hope that I'll be finished with Secret #1 by next Tuesday - well, the knitting at least. The finishing is another story!
So as most of you already know, Saturday was worldwide Knit in Public day. I had entertained the idea of meeting up with a group at Rittenhouse Square in Philly, but DB and I decided to go to the Delaware Art Museum instead. Well, we ended up getting there a bit late, so we decided to take a walk around the sculpture garden instead. Then I decided to go get my camera and my knitting. As we were trying to find a bench that had not been defiled by birds, we ran into these guys.
We ran into two fox! At first I only saw the one, then the other one jumped up onto the wall behind me. I've seen fox in South Jersey before, but I had never seen one, let alone two, up close like this! They weren't even afraid of us! They were sneaky little buggers though. The one we thought was the baby (mama was the one on the wall) was stalking us. She followed us down the path and got within 3 feet of us when DB looked up and she scampered away.
So not only did I get to knit in public - I had some rather unusual onlookers too! We'll try the museum another day I guess, but I'm sure we'll be tempted to check to see if our little stalkers are still around.
