Still waiting for yarn..........
Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers
Still waiting for my cashmere yarn for the Lucky Clover knit-along. Was hoping to hear from the yarn store today, but guess I'll have to make a call tomorrow. With my luck it will be there tomorrow and I'll have to trudge downtown in the snow - but it will be well worth it!
So in the meantime, I'm working on a pair of the Hurry Up Spring armwarmers from the SnB book. It's definately the perfect week to be knitting these considering we are getting like a billion feet of snow or something. Plus, it's nice to work on a small project for a change. I'm on my second warmer already though, so I better get that darn cashmere soon!

Welcome
Hello All!
Welcome to my knitting blog. Been meaning to get one started for some time, but life makes things a bit difficult sometimes.
Let me start by telling a little about myself. I'm originally from South Jersey and have been transplanted to NYC for the past 6 1/2 years or so. I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology about 3 years ago and majored in knitwear. I am currently a sweater designer for dollhouse, a junior clothing line.
I started handknitting at the age of 8 and was taught by my grandmother. I lost interest quickly, but started to get my knit-on again about 4 years ago. I have recently been published in Debbie Stoller's Stitch and Bitch Nation (Lucky Clover Wrap) and with any luck (and time) I hope to submit more patterns for publishing elsewhere soon.
In fact, a knit-along for the lucky clover wrap is starting March 1st, hosted by LollyKnitting Around. I'm so excited! I just hope my yarn comes in on time!
