I'm Officially Mrs. DB!

Well, as of January 12th, I am now officially a married woman. Everything went relatively smoothly and the dress was a big hit. I don't seem to have a perfect shot of the dress in my pictures, but I'm sure as I gather up pics from other people, there's bound to be some better shots. Just getting back to NYC today from Florida. Florida wasn't as warm as we would have liked, but it sure beat being up here in the freezing cold! As promised, here's a few pics!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

It's been a while and there is SO much to update you guys on, but I'll cut to the chase - Did I finish the wedding dress? I am happy to say that even though I had many disappointing moments, it is 95% finished and fits perfectly! With only 9 days to go, I only have to hand sew the hem and put on the buttons. I am just so so happy that everything turned out in the end and can't wait til next Saturday when a new chapter in my life begins!

Taking a look back at 2007 and my resolution to use my time more wisely when it came to my knitwear design, I have to say I gave myself a pretty good run! I managed to:

- Complete 4 designs for 2 books (Expectant Little Knits should be out now!)
- Published Audrey for neoknits
- Rework Grannie Smith in a new yarn for a new look
- Published 3 designs for One Planet (with 1 more on the way soon)
- Had a design published in the Holiday 07 issue of Knit Simple
- Had a design published in the latest issue of Yarn Forward Magazine

and last, but not least, remember my Dec 17th deadline project? Well....I was accepted into the Summer 08 issue of Interweave Knits! I am so super excited about that one!

So that is a total of 12 sweaters knit this year for publishing alone - that's 1 project per month! And of course that is not including the sparse personal projects for the year. I'd say that was a pretty good use of my time, I'm not sure if I can top this for 2008! I will certainly try though!

I just hope in 2008 I can continue to work at a good pace and push myself design wise. I don't have any plans yet, but I'm sure once the wedding is over, I'll be full speed ahead!
